The quote above explains why I love taking pictures. I got serious about photography back in 2017, and one thing my family has known about me since then is every time we go somewhere with a great view, I am going to stop and take pictures. One thing that stopping and taking photos does for me is it makes me pause and enjoy the view. One thing I love about North Carolina is there are amazing views all over the state. From the beach to the mountains, there is no shortage of amazing places to visit.
A few years ago, our kids went away for the first time to church camp. So to take advantage of our time, we took a day to Asheville, N.C. We took the scenic route to get there by taking the Blue Ridge Parkway. This was one of the places we stopped at while on the way.
