All About Day Trips

Living in Charlotte has its advantages and disadvantages. My favorite advantage is how close I am to everything. We are only a couple of hours from the beach and a couple of hours from the mountains.

This summer we have a lot going on. From me working to our kids being involved with a lot, we don’t have enough time to plan a big trip as a family. Since we have a big trip planned for this winter, we decided to stay close to home this summer.

A few weekends ago, my wife and I took a quick drive to check out downtown Belmont, N.C. Here are a couple of the places we visited.

1) @belmont.bookshop The Belmont Bookshop has two things my wife and I love, plants and books. It is a beautiful bookshop with a great selection of books that you can browse and purchase.

2) @cro.nc Catawba River Outfitters has a great selection of outdoor wear and camping gear. They had a pretty awesome pair of swim shorts that I will go back and purchase. I have to wait because, you know, teachers’ salary.

3) @thewanderingcup.coffee The Wandering Cup Coffee Shop has two of my favorite themes, coffee and travel. I am a man of simple taste when it comes to how I like a coffee. Typically, I’ll have an iced americano with light cream and one stevia. After I took my first sip, I knew they didn’t disappoint. Great coffee and great vibes inside.

I’m sure we will be taking another trip to Belmont in the near future because it isn’t too far from the house, and we only checked out a little bit of what Belmont’s downtown has to offer.

This is just one of the few adventures I have go on this summer. I will update you more about what’s happening later.

If you want to learn more, take a moment to follow, like and comment. Let me know what is one of your favorite destinations for a day trip and why.
