I Take a Lot of Pictures

“The return we reap from generous actions is not always evident.” – Francesco Guicciardini

In 2017, I bought my first DSLR camera from a pawn shop. It was a Nikon d3200. It wasn’t much, but it was all that I could afford at the time. I bought it because we were going on our first cruise in December of that year. I took a lot of pictures while we were on that cruise. This was my first time ever leaving the country, and I wanted to document every part of it.

I didn’t really take that many photos of where I lived back then because we were traveling a good bit. Then Covid happened, and all our travel plans went out the door. With the gyms closed, I need to get exercise in someone, and YouTube fitness were not cutting it for me, so I started to ride my bike around Charlotte. I eventually started to bring my camera with me because I missed photography. I figured I would practice until travel became a thing again.

Now, fast forward 7 years later, I am still taking photos as often as I can. Today, my camera of choice is a Nikon Z7ii. I am now one of those mirrorless camera people. A couple of years ago, I realized that I would never be able to post all of my photos on Instagram, so I started a blog. These is some content from Instagram, and other unposted content there. The photos featured in this post are ones that I have only posted here.
