Hello Pollinators

“The camera makes everyone a tourist in other people’s reality, and eventually in one’s own.” – Susan Sontag

I have a lot of goals in life. Some are big and some are small. One thing I would like to do eventually is be a beekeeper. We need more bees. There has been a decline in the bee population for decades, and if we want to see our flowers continue to bloom and thrive, they need bees. I’m not sure when I will start my beekeeping journey, but it is something I want to do down the road.

Since I am not a beekeeper, I do love taking photos of bees when I can. A few weeks ago, my wife and I took a day trip to Greenville, South Carolina. One of the places we stopped at the Falls Park on the Reedy. It’s a beautiful park in the heart of downtown Greenville that features a large waterfall in the middle of it. On our way to the falls, I say this group of bees busy at work on these flowers. One thing I love about the lens I bought with my Nikon z7ii camera is that it goes from 18-140 mm. That means I can capture some good landscape photos, and some awesome close ups without having to change my lens every two seconds.
