“No legacy is so rich as honesty.” – William Shakespeare

A tradition that I have had on social media for a while is Throwback Thursday. I take one day a week and post photos that I have previously posted before. I used this as an opportunity to look back and remember all of the different places I have been over the years. It’s my way of reliving the experience. The furthest back I go is 2017. That is when I bought my first DSLR camera, a Nikon D3200. I bought it because we were going on a cruise that winter, and I wanted a good camera to capture the experience. It was a good camera at the time, and I was able to capture some great photos with it. My current camera is a Nikon Z7ii. I know some people are not big fans of Nikon, but I stuck with the brand because I know how to use it, and all of my older accessories still work with it.

I took these shots with what I guess you would call my middle child camera, a Nikon D7500. It was a great camera that I took on a lot of great trips with me. These photos are of Anna Ruby Falls near Helen, Georgia. Helen is one of my family’s favorite places to visit. It isn’t too far from where my wife and I went to college. To see the falls is a short walk down a paved path and the view is amazing.

Check out another waterfall we saw on this trip: Toccoa Falls.
