More Ducks

“Good questions outrank easy answers.” – Paul Samuelson

Last summer I was on the curriculum writing team for my school district. We were in charge of implementing a new science curriculum for teachers. The first week of school was the first time I had ever used it. The main focus of the first few lessons was getting students to ask questions. The goal was to get them to ask enough questions to get them on the right track to understand how it works. My goal for them that week was for them to understand that asking questions about something is the first step in understanding how something works.

Last summer, my wife and I took a day trip to Greenville, South Carolina while our kids were with my mom. We spent the day checking out the different sites and hanging out at the park in the middle of downtown. What is special about the park is that it has a large waterfall that runs through the middle of it. While we were walking towards the falls, I saw some ducks and decided to snap some photos of them.

Check out this video of the waterfall we were checking out that day.
