Cruising Around Town

“We cannot change anything until we accept it. Condemnation does not liberate, it oppresses.” – Carl Jung

One thing I already miss about summer is the opportunity to ride my bike during the week. I could try and ride during the week in the afternoon, but I don’t really have the time to take a longer ride and get back home in time. The nice thing about going during the work week is there are not as many people out making for a smoother ride. I don’t have to dodge people as much, and I make better time making it to different places. This is just another reason why I appreciate summer even more.

I took these photos during one of my last weekday bike rides of the summer. I took a tour of Uptown Charlotte stopping at a few different places. These shots were taken at Fourth Ward Park. Fourth Ward Park is a small urban park that features a field, a couple of water features, and paths that connect it to the neighborhood.

Check out the video below of another peaceful spot I like to check out in Charlotte.
