Urban Falls

For the last few years, I have enjoyed looking for waterfalls. Whenever we plan a trip to go to the western part of North Carolina, one of the first things I look for is a waterfall to visit. I try to find waterfalls that are easily assessable and are not too far from civilization. I have been burned a few times either due to roads that were not assessable to walks to the falls that were way further from the car than they seemed. Most of the time I have had pretty good luck finding awesome waterfalls while we travel.

A sure way to find a waterfall that is easy to get to is to find one in the middle of the city. One of the many things Greenville, South Carolina features is a waterfall in the middle of town. Once you find a place to park, you can head over to Falls Park on the Reedy. You can see the falls from a few different vantage points, from the base to the walkway that runs right in front of it.
