Not Over Yet

“But he that dares not grasp the thorn Should never crave the rose.” – Anne Bronte

It’s been over two weeks since Hurricane Helene rampaged through the South Eastern United States. While many have recovered from the storm, there are still several communities that have only just begun to rebuild their lives. For some, it be some damage to their property, and for others it could me recovering from a total loss. Add on top of that the misinformation being spread all over the internet causing panic and fear in these communities already hit hard from the storm. The only information that needs to be spread about these storms is about how we can help these communities. I have a list on my blog if you are looking for ways to help. Go to the next link to see a list of organizations supporting those affected.

More than a week ago, we drove down to Augusta to help my mom recover from the storm. She is doing much better now. Her power has been restored, and now she is just waiting for her intern et to come back so she can work from home again. Several people in the community are still recovering. Many lost homes and businesses in the storm. If you are not already, look for ways you can help these communities who were devastated.

The only postive part of all this is I did get a use a chainsaw.
