While I am looking at the photos of the sunset I captured, I am reminded that sometimes there are people who try to block our shine. Sometimes it’s on purpose, and other times it’s not. This happens to me often. I’ll be honest with you; I am not your typical elementary school teacher. I teach with my own style blending in my sense of humor and passion for children learning. I have learned over the last few years to use my strengths to my advantage, and try not to be someone who I am not. That means sometimes people are in shock that I am good at what I do. That might mean they try to hide my success because they have a hard time believing it. So, what I have learned over the last few years is that I need to show off my accomplishments more. When I do that, it allows my shine to not be blocked.
Whenever I travel, I make an effort to capture at least one sunset and one sunrise. I captured these shots one evening while we were at sea on our last cruise to the Bahamas.
