Don’t Forget

“The reward for work well done is the opportunity to do more.” – Jonas Salk

Places across the United States are still recovering from the back-to-back hurricanes that comes through starting at the end of September. As hurricane season begins to wind down, don’t forget there are still many communities in the southeast that are still picking up the pieces. Power has been mostly restored in western North Carolina, and many areas have opened for business for the fall season. However, many parts of the mountain region still do not have running water. Right now, the main thing these areas need are financial resources. The best way you can support them is by giving to charity organizations that are supporting the regions’ hardest hit. I have a list of places on my blog, and you can go to the link below to see it.

I took these photos a few weeks ago when the family and I went down to help my mom in Augusta, GA. She had been without power for over a week. We set her up with a generator, and cleaned up debris around her yard. She has power, but is still waiting on her internet to come back on. The area is doing better now that power has been restored, but many places shown in the photos have only just begun to recover.

In case you are new to following me, here is a brief introduction.
