How do we value life? In our society today we value life based on popularity and entertainment. If someone entertains us, we think that person has the most value. This is where we mess up as a culture. We hold people to the highest value if we find them the most entertaining. We need to shift that thought to looking for value in how much impact someone has on our lives and the lives of others. When someone makes a positive impact in our society, they should be looked up to more than someone who can entertain us. Unfortunately, even if someone has a great impact in our society, if they don’t entertain us, we don’t see the value they add to it. We have to see the value in those who have a positive impact on our society.
Back in 2021, I decided to practice some black and white photography. It’s not something I do often, but I do appreciate the value it brings. I took this photo over at First Ward Park in Uptown Charlotte. This park has a great view of the city. It’s one of the places I like to ride to while I am going through Uptown.
