Cave Time

“We still do not know one thousandth of one percent of what nature has revealed to us.” – Albert Einstein

Believe it or not, I have some good memories of checking out caves. Before moving to Charlotte, the family and I lived in Kentucky. Kentucky has a lot of caves. There was a cave system that was underground in Louisville that was decorated for Christmas every year. We were only a few hours away from Mammoth Cave. It was famous for having the largest underground room known to man. There was another cave that we visited once when my son was one, he took my hat off my head, and dropped it down a hole. It was my favorite hat at the time too.

I have a lot of great memories of caves, so when we had the opportunity to check out one in the Bahamas, I couldn’t pass it up. We were part of a Jeep tour, where I drove a Jeep around Nassau. It was my first experience driving in a foreign country, and it was a little bit stressful experience. We did have a lot of fun. Inside the caves there were some bats. I tried to take a photo of them, but I couldn’t pull it off.

Check out this video I made of our visit to the caves
