Photographers, have you ever forgotten your camera on a trip?

“The best way to make your dreams come true is to wake up.” – Paul Valery

For me, most of the time the answer is no. I usually have it with me anytime I leave town. When I visit family, they expect me to bring it with me so we can take family photos with it. I remember one Thanksgiving I left my camera at the house, and tried to take a family photo with my cell phone propped up on a ladder. Needless to say, that was the last time I left my camera at home for a family trip.

Typically, when I visit Nassau, it rains. However, it did stop when we at Christmas. That evening, I stayed on our balcony as the cruise ship was pulling out of the port. We got the best view of the lighthouse that sits right along the post. There was just one problem, I didn’t have my camera with me. Lucky for me, my phone has a pretty good camera on it, and I was able to capture this great view.

Check out this video I took of the same moment.
