“Wise sayings often fall on barren ground, but a kind word is never thrown away.” – Arthur Helps

One of the things I like to do is ride my bike around Uptown Charlotte. I haven’t been able to get out as much as I would like lately because I have been a little busier with work than normal. I have been going to the gym to get in my exercise instead. One of the reasons I love riding my bike is because it’s my time to get out, and just reflect on what’s going on. I usually just listen to music while I ride, and I rarely look at my phone while I’m out. I have a few spots that I go to where I can take a moment, pause, reflect, and refocus.

One of those places is this one spot on the Little Sugar Creek Greenway. While there it doesn’t feel like you are in the middle of the city. You have this feeling that you are out in the middle of the woods away from everything. Sometimes after it rains, the creek is so loud that you can’t even hear the traffic around you.
