“Where words fail, music speaks.” – Hans Christian Andersen

I listen to a lot of music. If you asked me what my favorite song is, the answer would depend on what season I was in, the time of day, and even where I am physically located at the moment. It really just depends. I go from Christain worship in one moment to Guns N’ Roses the next. Sometimes I listen to jazz while I work, and other times I will listen to 80’s pop. I never really listen to just one thing.

Augusta is known for a few things. Most people think of Augusta as home of the golf tournament called The Masters. But did you know that Augusta is the home of James Brown? The “I Got You” singer gave back to his community in many ways, including his annual Thanksgiving Turkey Giveaway and Christmas Toy Giveaway. Both traditions have continued after his passing in 2006 by The Brown Family Children Foundation. The statue of him is located in downtown Augusta. My family visited Augusta last weekend for Thanksgiving. My mom lives in Augusta, and it is where I grew up.
