“The head never rules the heart, but just becomes its partner in crime.” – Mignon McLaughlin

It’s weird visiting where you grew up after a long period of time. I have visited my mom often in Georgia. However, she doesn’t live where I spent most of my time growing up. During Thanksgiving, the family and I visited her in Georgia. We decided to take a drive around downtown Augusta. We took a drive around there because my son claimed that Augusta didn’t have a downtown. We took him there to prove that it did. While it is not as large as Charlotte’s downtown, it has a couple of larger buildings there.

One of the places we stopped at so I took photos of is the Discotheque Lounge. This place became a joke with classmates back in high school French class. A discotheque typically means a place you go to dance, but in my hometown, it meant the nearest strip club. Let’s just say we got good giggle out of using this word in French class.
