“Never bend your head. Always hold it high. Look the world straight in the eye.” – Helen Keller

One thing I enjoy doing when it is warmer is riding my bike around Uptown Charlotte. I live close to the Light Rail Trail. The Light Rail Trail runs beside the train that goes into Uptown Charlotte. From my house, I can be in Uptown in about 20 minutes riding my bike. When I go out, I always bring my camera. You never know what you are going to see. It gives me a chance to practice photography while I am home. Then, when I visit new places, I’m ready to go.

I have three places I enjoy visiting in Charlotte. The first is Marshall Park. Marshall Park is a small urban park in Uptown featuring a pond and a fountain with places to walk. This park is a great location to take photos in Charlotte with the city in the background. I also enjoy visiting First Ward Park. First Ward Park features a splash park, a large field, and a great view of the city. Freedom Park is not in Uptown, but it is still a great place to visit. It has a large lake to walk around, playgrounds and ball fields. It’s also a great place to take photos at because you don’t feel like you are in Charlotte while there.
