“What we really are matters more than what other people think of us.” – Jawaharlal Nehru

I love being outside. I try to spend at least some time outside every day. One advantage of being an elementary school teacher is recess. I take my class outside every chance I get. Sometimes I even take them outside for our morning meeting. Being outside offers many benefits. From improved focus to mental well-being, being outside just makes sense. I think that’s why I like grilling so much because it gives me an opportunity to be outside.

We visited the sanctuary in the Dominican Republic last winter. As we toured the space, we learned information about butterflies, and their efforts to conserve them. This is just one example of the many photos I took while we were there.

Here is the sunrise I saw the day we visited the butterfly sanctuary.
