Let the Light In

“I am still learning.” – Michelangelo

When it comes to life, we think it would be nice if we knew everything. At least, we believe it would be nice. Truth is, we don’t know everything. For somethings that is easy to admit, and for others it is more difficult to. The trick is knowing when we don’t know everything in those situations where we think we do. I love this quote from Michelangelo. It is a simple acknowledgment that we are still learning. As an adult, I have learned a lot. However, I still have a lot to learn to continue improving myself as a person.

Since I have multiple cameras, I will often use all of them while I am out visiting a new place. I do this because different cameras allow for different views and perspectives. I use my Nikon camera and my GoPro while we were visiting Willemstad. One of the places we visited while in Willemstad, Curaçao was Hato Caves. Hato Caves were used by slaves as a place to escape from their owners to find freedom. In 1967, the government started to protect the caves. The caves are made of limestone and are close to the surface. As a result, it is one of the most humid caves I have ever been in. Despite being humid, it was a cool experience. We saw various cave formations and some bats flying around too. I took these photos with my GoPro. There are some spots in the caves they don’t want you to take pictures. So, I used my GoPro to take some photos.

Here is a video I captured over winter break when we went snorkeling. I figured the post features photos underground, how about a video that was taken underwater.
