We love our opinions. As the expression goes, “Opinions are like noses, everyone has one.” We not only love our opinions, but we love to share our opinions. Too often we share our opinions to feel good about ourselves, not to try and help the other person. We will share our opinions and ignore what the other person has to say. Changing our opinions about something we are confident in is hard and uncomfortable. Hearing from others who are as passionate as we are that disagree with us can be difficult. But, we have to get in the habit. We must be willing to at least think about and consider what the other person has to say.
One of my favorite things to do is ride my bike around Uptown Charlotte. One of my favorite parks in The Green. A couple of years ago I captured these photos while riding around Uptown.
