The Park in Black and White

“You begin with the possibilities of the material.” – Robert Rauschenberg

For the last few months, I have had software issues when it comes to photo editing. I have been using Photoshop for years. While it is not the best editor for raw files, it still did a pretty good job. The only reason why I didn’t make the Lightroom leap is that I cannot justify $120 a year. It’s too much for a hobby that doesn’t generate any income. When we were out of the country last April, Photoshop just quit processing raw files. It said there was an issue with the graphic processor. My computer wasn’t connected to the internet. There was no way the computer was updated at that time. Nothing changed. I did every step they said to do to correct, and even had Microsoft remotely try to fix it. Nothing worked. Finally, I heard about software called ON1, and so far, so good. It’s worked well for me, and I am able to edit raw files again.

I took these photos last year while I was riding my bike around Freedom Park in Uptown Charlotte. I was working with the ON1 software, and was able to make these adjustments.

Here is a video I captured in the park.
