Exploring new places can be exhausting. Sometimes when we travel, we need to take a break. I used to think we should always be on the go. I worried we would miss something if we didn’t. I ended up missing something anyways because I was too tired to enjoy. Part of the reason we go on vacation is to rest and relax. There have to be moments on the trip where we rest.
Last winter, the family and I took an 11-day cruise around the Caribbean. Our first stop was in the Dominican Republic. We checked out a butterfly preserve and toured the island in an open-air van. When we got back, we were tired when we got back on board. We decided to take a few moments and rest before we started our evening activities. While resting on vacation, I love taking photos. I take pictures of the mainland from the ship. I captured these photos of the Dominican Republic that afternoon.
