Worried vs. Prepared

“Worry never robs tomorrow of its sorrow, it only saps today of its joy.” – Leo Buscaglia

There is a fine line between worrying and being prepared. The line is set by your attitude. When it comes to travel, I would like to think that my wife and I are prepared people. We don’t like spending more money than we have to. We often think of things we might need while traveling. These items could cost more while we are gone. I try to have everything I need for my camera. Some accessories and chargers are only found on Amazon. Something could happen that would take my camera out of action for the trip. That’s why I make sure I have multiple ways to be prepared. To me worrying is thinking the worst could happen so you do nothing at all. Worrying is allowing the worst-case scenario to be the only scenario that happens in your mind. There is nothing wrong with being prepared, just don’t let the preparation over consume you.

Last winter, the family and took a cruise around the Caribbean. One of stops was the British Virgin Islands. This is one of those adventures where I left my camera and phone back on the boat. I didn’t want to risk them getting damaged while out there. I brought my GoPro with me. One thing I love about the GoPro is it’s a pretty good camera for the size and price. I took these photos right after we journeyed through the caves. The Baths at Virgin Gorda are a natural wonder. It features boulders and caverns that make up a maze. This maze leads to secret rock pools and the famous Cathedral Room, a natural pool inside a small cave. This was one beautiful place to visit.

Here is a video I captured while snorkeling here.
