“Believe in yourself, take on your challenges, dig deep within yourself to conquer fears. Never let anyone bring you down. You got to keep going.” – Chantal Sutherland

The world has a lot of problems. Every time we turn on the news, the world’s problems confront us. When we go on the internet, we see these problems as well. Social media also exposes us to the world’s issues every day. It’s tempting to ignore them, and just say that it doesn’t affect me. We want the world to be a better place. However, we cannot fix all of the world’s problems. We should focus on just one problem at a time. Pick one issue that you are passionate about, and see what ways you can personally make it better. Same thing goes with our own personal lives. Truth be told, we all have issues. If we want to be better people, we have to address those issues. It’s difficult to make every aspect of our lives perfect at once. Pick one challenge, and focus on it at a time.

When I first started getting serious about photography, I thought I could master everything I needed to at one time. I tried that, and only got frustrated. It wasn’t until 2020 that I realized that practice was what I needed to get better. I try to go out and take photos of Charlotte as often as I can. This year, I have been practicing street photography this year. I bought a new lens by Retropia that gives my photos the look of being captured with film. I captured these photos the last time I was visiting my mom’s house. One of the best places to practice is the backyard.

Check out this video I captured with the Retropia lens.
