One of my favorite things to do is go hiking. I love just being out in nature and seeing new things. One of my favorite parts of hiking is going off the trail to see what’s there. This usually works out for me, but I will never forget this one time it didn’t. We were camping near a town called Bostic, North Carolina. We were staying at a camping resort. It was one of those campgrounds that you don’t need to leave because there is so much to do there. One day I decided to hike this trail that is on the grounds. I hiked up to the top and captured photos of this amazing view. Then I decided to take what I thought was a short cut back. It ended up taking me the wrong way back. Fortunately, the closer I got to the campground the stronger my cell phone signal. I was eventually able to make my way back with the help of Google Maps.
