“Smell the roses. Smell the coffee. Whatever it is that makes you happy.” – Rita Moreno

When we first moved the Charlotte, North Carolina 13 years ago, the only coffee shop we had was Starbucks. Thankfully today we have plenty of different coffee shops in our area now. From ones that are great to sit and complete work in to great drive thru spots. The trick now is deciding which coffee shop to go to.

Today I don’t even have to drive to get great coffee. I have a coffee shop that is only a couple of blocks from my house. This summer I have started taking walks in the mornings or afternoons. This way, I get some time outside. It’s enjoyable to see how my neighborhood has changed in the last few years. There are a couple of coffee shops that are on the route of my walks. I have visited Land of Thousand Hills Coffee a few times now, and each time I have been impressed. When it comes to coffee, I am man of simple tastes. I typically order an iced Americano with light cream and one stevia. Each time these guys have made me a great cup.

I captured these photos with my GoPro camera. One thing I enjoy about my GoPro is that it’s small, and takes good photos and captures great videos. When I go on my walks, I use it as an opportunity to practice photography. Street photography has lately become a fun hobby because you never know what you are going to capture.
