“One way to get the most out of life is to look upon it as an adventure.” – William Feather

One of my favorite places to visit in Georgia is Helen. Helen is a German-themed town located in the northeastern part of the state. It’s a fun town with shops, restaurants, and you can go ride an inner tube down the river. There are several places I love to visit while I am there. From Fred’s the boiled peanut shop to the little grocery store that’s downtown. The last time we visited Helen was back in 2021. It was one of our first trips after Covid. My wife and I went to college in Toccoa. Toccoa is about 30 minutes south of Helen. We had a lot of memories here from back when we were dating. Visiting here brought back a lot of those great memories.

One of my favorite places to visit in Helen is Anna Ruby Falls. Anna Ruby Falls. I took these photos while making my way up to Anna Ruby Falls. Every step of the way is amazing and filled with beauty. It is easy to walk up to the falls because of the paved path. I couldn’t help but stop every few feet to snap the photos. Instead of a 10-minute walk up, it took me about 20 minutes because I kept taking pictures. The closer you get to the actual falls the better the view gets. The journey to the falls is almost as great as seeing the falls themselves. We have to appreciate every part of the journey.

My daughter wants to go back to Helen one day, and we might in the future. Over the last few years, we have traveled to new places out of the country. We wanted to see things that we had never seen before.
