Golf in the Rain

“Imagination and fiction make up more than three quarters of our real life.” – Simone Weil

Whenever big plans are made, it seems like we count on the most unpredictable things when making those plans. The weather is one thing that can go perfectly right or perfectly wrong in one moment. From sunshine to downpours, the weather can make or break an event. Despite what those on the internet thing, we have no control over it. Even when I want to go out and take photos, the weather often interferes. It can prevent me from getting the shot I was intending to get. The weather can be our best friend or our worst enemy.

Back in April, I was able to go to the Masters golf tournament for the first time in years. When we moved to Charlotte, I had been applying to get tickets every year. I finally got them, and was ready to be there. The week before we saw that the weather was not looking good. We decided to go anyways. We went through the gift shop, and as soon as we walked out they closed the course. Apparently, there was lightning in the region, and when there is lightning, they make everyone leave. While my experience was short, it was still fun. We did find out that we are getting our money refunded, and we get to go next year. Here are a few photos from my short experience there.
