The Last Camping Trip – Throwback 2022

“Life consists not in holding good cards but in playing those you hold well.” – Josh Billings

Back in 2018, we bought a 24-foot travel trailer to go camping in. We went on several fun adventures as a family in that camper. We traveled to the mountains of North Carolina. We visited a few small towns in South Carolina. We took our kids to where my wife and I first met in Toccoa, Georgia. We even pulled the camper to Delaware for a trip. When we camped in our trailer, we would always look for places to explore nearby. From Lavender Fields to waterfalls, we tried to take in as much of the area as we possibly could. This next part might sound crazy, but we also brought our two cats with us on our adventures. They didn’t like the drive that much, but they enjoyed staying in the camper with us.

Our last camping trip happened in the summer of 2022. Our kids were getting bigger. We knew it was only a matter of time before they outgrew our camper. I considered getting a larger one, but it just seemed like for now, that part of our lives was over. Our last trip was to Bryson City, North Carolina. Bryson City is a beautiful town located in the western part of the state inside the Smoky Mountains. We checked out the town. We explored the national park. We visited Cherokee, North Carolina. I was able to go tubing for the first time. All in all, it was a fun experience. Here is a collection of my favorite photos from that trip.
