“Every sunset brings the promise of a new dawn.” – Ralph Waldo Emerson

This is the last Friday before I head back to work, and wow, this summer has just zoomed by! I’ve been busy with projects at home and spent a couple of weeks soaking up the sights in Alaska. Honestly, I can’t complain at all! I got to hang out with friends and family. I checked out some cool new coffee shops. I also caught up on some much-needed rest. Summer’s always a great vibe, but I’m also pretty excited for what’s next. I just got a promotion at work. I’ll be diving into some new responsibilities this school year. There will be more leadership stuff and working hands-on with adults. It looks like my life is about to get a lot busier. I’m sure I’ll grow a ton as an educator this upcoming year!

I wanted to share some sunset pics since summer is winding down for me. My wife and I began taking walks around the neighborhood earlier this year. We wanted to squeeze in more exercise. We also wanted to explore our area. So much has changed around here in the past few years, and we wanted to check it all out. I snapped this photo just a few blocks from our place. Even in the city, we still get to catch some gorgeous sunsets now and then!
