“The greatest remedy for anger is delay.” – Lucius Annaeus Seneca

I am currently reading a book about human behavior. I just finished the section where the author discusses stress. He said that when we are stressed, we typically don’t make the best decisions. This is because our brain is in overdrive trying to process what is causing us to be stressed. One lesson we can learn from that is we should never make big decisions while stressed. Our brains operate less efficiently when we are stressed. We should take a moment and pause before making any changes. It might feel good in the moment to make a big change, but it rarely works out. If we feel the need to make a big decision while stressed, stop, and wait before you make the change.

An activity that helps me deal with stress is looking at photos I captured while I was traveling. When I look at those photos, I stay calm. I am flooded with the awesome memories we had while we were there. Last winter, the family and I took one of our favorite trips ever. We took a 11-day cruise around the southern Caribbean. One of our stops was the Dominican Republic. We took an open bus tour around the city. We spent some time at a farm and butterfly sanctuary, and watched traditional wood carving. Here are some photos of the mountains that I captured while I was there.
