“If you can’t convince them, confuse them.” – Harry S Truman

Last summer, the family and I took the trip of a lifetime to Alaska. We took a cruise around the Inside Passage. While I was on the trip I captured over 2,000 photos. I am still in the process of going through all of them. Yesterday, I hit a milestone and finally started going through the photos of the second stop of our cruise. I took a lot of photos and with school starting back up I have been on the busy side. I’m glad that I am still able to continue to relive this amazing trip through the photos I captured.

Our second stop was Skagway, Alaska. Skagway is one of the few places in Alaska that is connected to the rest of the world by road. Our main goal for the day was to ride on the White Pass Scenic Railway. Before we got on the train, we took a walk around downtown Skagway checking out the shops, and the different places. This might surprise you; I did stop for a coffee at one point. You would think with everything in Alaska being far away that the coffee wouldn’t be as good, but every cup I drank was fantastic. After we rode the train, we ended our time eating fresh crab and halibut at a restaurant by the pier. I captured these photos of downtown Skagway using my lens from @retropiacam. This lens is made from recycled disposable cameras. It gives a captured-by-film look, and it is easy to use. The lens doesn’t focus, so all you have to do is snap away.
