Going Under

When I travel to certain places, there are things I always expect to do. I like to relax on vacation. The only time I like to “rough it” is if I am tent camping. I haven’t done that for years. There are certain luxuries I love to have. One of those things is to have good food when I travel. When we visit places, I always look for good restaurants to eat at. I will do my research before we go. Alternatively, I’ll check near eating time to see what everyone wants. I check out the reviews and see what is good there. The only time I will eat cheaply is if we are driving somewhere, and need something quick. Another thing I always need is good coffee. While we were on the last cruise, we paid to make sure we would have premium coffee every day. Yes, it costs more, but I’m not a fan of cheap coffee. Another thing I need is time to relax. Sometimes when we travel, I like to take half a day to read a good book. I also like to have some days where I get up without an alarm. I also love going places where I will have an opportunity to capture awesome photos. Anytime I get a chance to practice my photography is great for me.

Last winter, the family took a cruise around the Caribbean. Whenever we go to the Caribbean, I have to go snorkeling at least once. One of the stops was the British Virgin Islands. This is one of those adventures where I left my camera and phone back on the boat. I didn’t want to risk them getting damaged while out there. I brought my GoPro with me. One thing I love about the GoPro is that it’s a pretty good camera for the size and price. The Baths at Virgin Gorda are a natural wonder. It features boulders and caverns that make up a maze. This maze leads to secret rock pools and the famous Cathedral Room, a natural pool inside a small cave. This was one beautiful place to visit.
