Murals Around Town

“A painting that is well composed is half finished.” – Pierre Bonnard

I like how cities are allowing murals to be painted on the sides of buildings. One it gives artists an opportunity to showcase their creativity. Two, my hometown of Charlotte is filled with boring looking buildings. Most of the buildings in Charlotte look the same. The murals painted on the sides give the buildings character and personality. Three, they are fun to take photos of. From taking landscape shots of them to portrait photography. A good mural adds personality to any photo.

On spot that has some awesome graffiti artwork is Camp North End. Camp North End is located just north of Uptown Charlotte. I captured these photos last July. My wife and I were taking pictures at Camp North End in Charlotte, North Carolina. Camp North End has great coffee shops, retail, and awesome murals around it. We captured some photos using my tripod with each other, and I captured photos of the murals as well. Here are some of the photos I captured of the artwork.
