Where Do You See?

“Where there is no vision, there is no hope.” – George Washington Carver

How many times have you been asked by your employer, Where do you see yourself in 5 years? It’s an annoying question sometimes. For myself, over the last few years, it has depended on how that year went. Ten years ago, I had no idea that I would be where I am now. However, I can answer that question pretty well now. I know in 5 years, both my kids will be high school graduates. I know that at that point, I would have been married for 25 years. Career wise, not sure, but I’m sure I will still be in education. A lot can happen in a year, and even more in 5. Today I see what’s coming more clearly than I used to, and I am looking forward to it.

One thing that will never change is my love for fall. This is my favorite season. From the cooling temperatures to the leaves changing. Fall is the best season. There is so much about fall that I look forward to. One of my favorite places to visit in the fall is the North Carolina Mountains. We are fortunate to live only 2 hours away from some of the best views on the East Coast. Some years, we like to take a drive for the day just to see the amazing views. One place I love to visit is Curtis Creek. Curtis Creek is located near Old Fort, North Carolina. Some of the best views that you can see from your car. Here are a few photos I captured when visiting a few years ago with my son.
