Enjoying the View

“You never really understand a person until you consider things from his point of view.” – Harper Lee

I love a good view. Most of my travels involve going to the next great view. My family used to take drives up to the mountains in the fall to check out different waterfalls and visit small towns in North Carolina. We would spend hours on the road to see something for about 20 to 30 minutes at the most. I have even hiked a great distance just to see one good view. I love a good view. From the mountains to the ocean, I enjoy all of it. When we take cruises, I will spend part of my days on the ship just enjoying the view. If we don’t have a balcony room, you will find me on deck just looking out towards the ocean.

I saw some of the most amazing views when the family and I took a cruise to Alaska last summer. We rode a train while we visited Skagway, Alaska. I started researching what to do in Skagway. The White Pass Scenic Railway was the top recommendation. We signed up to do it. The weather was perfect that day. We were treated to some of the most incredible views I had ever seen. I took over 200 photos while we were on the train. I spent most of my time standing on the platform enjoying the amazing views.
