“It is the mark of an educated mind to be able to entertain a thought without accepting it.” – Aristotle

Today, it seems like we have to follow the right views. This means ignoring those who are deemed to have the wrong view. Often times we told to not hear what someone has to say because what they are saying is wrong. We set ourselves up to only hear those who agree with us. We refuse to hear or listen to anyone who has an opposing view that we do. If someone is sharing a view we disagree with, we listen with the goal of responding and understanding. We have to train our brains to hear other views. It doesn’t it means we agree with or endorse those views. It simply means we are treating someone’s opinion as valuable as ours. Take moment, and listen to someone who disagrees with you. Instead of thinking about how to rebuttal them, think about why they think and feel that way.

I saw some of the most amazing views when the family and I took a cruise to Alaska last summer. We rode a train while we visited Skagway, Alaska. I started researching what to do in Skagway. The White Pass Scenic Railway was the top recommendation. We signed up to do it. The weather was perfect that day. We were treated to some of the most incredible views I had ever seen. I took over 200 photos while we were on the train. I spent most of my time standing on the platform enjoying the amazing views.
