“It is the set of the sails, not the direction of the wind that determines which way we will go.” – Jim Rohn

What do you remember about Christmas and the holiday season when you were younger? I remember waking up ridiculously early to see what gifts I was getting that morning. I remember being so excited that I could hardly sleep. I would barely make it to bed by midnight, and then typically I would be up around 6:00 am. This was the only time in my life before becoming an adult where I would wake up early naturally. After opening gifts, we would have breakfast and then go to my grandparents for Christmas dinner. The day was always busy. I was filled with spending time with family. I enjoyed a great meal. Of course, I also played with my new toys. That is only a little bit of what I remember about Christmas day. I am sure the closer we get to the 25th, the more I will remember.

I enjoy the Christmas season for many reasons. One thing I love is all of the beautiful holiday displays. They are put up all over town. During the Thanksgiving holiday, the family visited a lights display. It is put up at a park near my mom’s house in Evans, Georgia. We walked around that evening. It felt like a bitter cold. It usually isn’t that cold at my mom’s house on Thanksgiving. While we walked around, I of course had my camera out taking photos. I captured these photos of the lights using my lens from @retropiacam. This lens is made from recycled disposable cameras. It gives a captured-by-film look, and it is easy to use. The lens doesn’t focus, so all you have to do is snap away.
