“The art of art, the glory of expression and the sunshine of the light of letters, is simplicity.” – Walt Whitman

When you visit somewhere for the first time, there is a feeling that comes over you. It’s a combination of awe and shock. You’re in awe because the place you are at is amazing. It is like no where else you have been before. Then a small shock hits your system. You ask yourself how did you get this lucky. There are places I have been before that I know many people will never have the chance to visit. I’m shocked because I wonder if I deserve to have this opportunity. I realize that I am blessed to have it. With this feeling taking over, I take out my camera. I start capturing every part of this visit that I see. I want to look back, and relive that feeling again. The feeling of awe and shock. I try to show that feeling with every photo I capture while on this journey.

Last summer, the family and I took a trip to Alaska. Of course, I brought all three of my cameras with me. I took over 2,000 photos on this trip. I wanted to show off some photos that I captured with my Nikon Z7ii while we were walking around Juneau. Alaska. Juneau is the state capitol of Alaska, and the only U.S. state capitol that cannot be accessed by roads. The only way to get to Juneau is by boat or plane. We had a great time checking out Juneau. From great views to fantastic coffee. We loved every minute of our visit there.
