“Pains of love be sweeter far than all other pleasures are.” – John Dryden

How often do you travel to see something, and you end up seeing so much more? You travel to a destination to see that one view. You end up trying some local cuisine that blows your mind. That happened to me when we visited Skagway, Alaska. Our goal in going there was to take the train ride along the Alaskan Gold Rush Route. After that, I had the best fried halibut ever. It was amazing. I took a day trip to check out an apple orchard in Hendersonville, North Carolina. I ended up visiting Jump Off Rock afterwards. It was a fun experience with amazing views. This is why we have to be open to when travel to different experiences when we go. You never know what opportunity awaits.

During winter break the family and I traveled to Orlando, Florida after Christmas. We went to Discovery Cove to see the Flamingos, but there was so much more there. One of our favorite experiences was hanging out in the Aviary. It featured a variety of birds that could observe, interact with, and feed. The entire time I alternated from holding my camera in hand to feeding them. The birds here were very friendly, and fun to hang out with.
Check out this video of me snorkeling while at Discovery Cove.
Such colorful birds! 😊
