All at Once

“You can’t help getting older, but you don’t have to get old.” – George Burns

Life rarely happens on our schedule. When we think things should happen is often when they don’t happen. It seems like the worst possible time when is when things normally happen. Often when things happen, I try to think of a better time. Typically my mind draws a blank. I think it would have been better if it had waited a week. However, does a week later actually make it any better? I doubt it. A week earlier probably wouldn’t matter either. The reality is we have to prepare ourselves for when things do happen. One thing I have learned is that life does not stop when you want to. My employer still expects me to be at work. The bills still have to be paid. My kids still need to go to school. Time continues moving forward. While it is not pleasant, it is reality. Life goes on, but I try to prepare myself for it as best I can.

Thinking of everything happening at once, it reminds me of visiting an aviary. You see all of the birds flying every where together. Some land on you to get a snack, and others just hang out in the distance. Every bird is different, and has it’s own unique features. I visited an aviary during winter break. My family and I went to Discovery Cove in Orlando, Florida. We had a fun filled day from visiting with the Flamingos to snorkeling with sharks and sting rays. These are just a few of the photos I captured while hanging out in the aviary. I have some photos I took of the flamingos too.
