“Happiness and moral duty are inseparably connected.” – George Washington

As I am writing this post it is is currently 18 degrees outside. It has been cold and stormy for these last couple of days. When I look back at photos I captured, I realize that I miss my afternoon walks. I haven’t gone on them as often lately because it gets dark so early. It has also been extremely cold lately. I have been doing more activities indoors. I have been keeping up with my time at the gym. Walking out the neighborhood is way better than walking on a treadmill. There is something about just being outside that gives me a little peace. Things should start to warm up a little more and stay lighter longer in the next few weeks. I am looking forward to getting out again.

For the 4th of July, I visited my mom in Georgia. I decided that I wanted to keep up with walking while I was there. I typically get up earlier than my family. I would grab my camera, and take a walk around my mom’s neighborhood. All of these photos I captured were taken with a lens from a company called @retropiacam . I love this lens because it is lightweight. This makes it perfect to bring with me while on a walk. I also love that it is made from recycled disposable camera lenses. When I capture photos with it, it looks like the shot was captured with a film camera. It has various imperfections in the shot that give it a retro look. I also like how the lens doesn’t need to be focused. Just like an old-school disposable camera, all you have to do is point and shoot.
