“If you fell down yesterday, stand up today.” – H. G. Wells

It’s been a while since I took a walk around my neighborhood. My wife and I decided not to go anywhere today. We thought today would be a great day to take a walk. We put on as many layers as possible because it doesn’t normally get this cold out down in the south. It was 20 degrees when we went out. After getting all of our layers on, we heading out into the elements. We could hear the crunch of the ice with each step that took around the neighborhood. I wanted to walk a little further, but that wind was too much for me.

While we took our walk around the neighborhood, I had my camera in hand the entire time. I took some close ups showing how much ice has built up around everything. We haven’t had a crippling storm like this in Charlotte in years. Usually, we don’t know anything about school cancellations or delays. We found out early this morning that school was canceled for Monday. I tried to make some adjustments with my camera to capture the best photos I could with my Nikon.
