How do you wake up in the mornings? Do you wake with the idea that you have to be at this location and complete this job? Or do you wake up seeing opportunity. Do you look for opportunity to make an impact in someones life, or even be impacted? We can either let the day control us or us try to control the day. When I wake up, I think about where I can make an impact. I also consider who I can impact that day. I ask myself will I make an impact on students by helping them understand a new concept. What impact will I make at work since I am an instructional leader? I always look for ways to impact those I am around because that is how I control the day.
Back in the winter of 2024, the family and I took a cruise in the southern Caribbean during the holidays. Our first stop was the Dominican Republic. We took a bus tour of the island. We saw wood carving, a butterfly sanctuary, and we stopped at a plantation for lunch. When we came back to our ship, I walked the around with my camera capturing photos of the island. Here are some shots I captured of an old fort near the port. It is crazy to think that I am still posting photos from this trip. It has been over a year since we came back. I captured so many photos that I am still going through all of them, and getting them out there.
