A Lot of Pictures

“The time you enjoy wasting is not wasted time.” – Bertrand Russell

I take a lot of pictures. I have always loved taking pictures. I wanted to get a nicer camera when we first got married. However, I didn’t have the money at the time. I started practicing with my phone when the cameras on them started to improve. We were planning to go on our first cruise back in 2017. At that point, I decided it was time to get a good camera. I used what money I had saved, and bought a used Nikon D3200 from a pawn shop. I took that camera with me to Belize and Mexico. I captured some amazing photos with it. That’s when my photography habit got serious. I started posting my photos online in 2018. I have enjoyed sharing them since then. Every morning I wake up, I look to see what photos I can post that day. I love sharing the photos I capture, and the stories behind them. This is my form of creativity.

During our trip to Alaska last summer, I didn’t realize how many photos I captured. I only noticed this when we came back home. I captured over 2,000 photos. I am still going through them. I am closer to the end from when I first started editing them. You all might be seeing photos from my trip to Alaska until maybe next year. I still have over 1,000 to edit and share at this point. This one shot in particular was one of my favorites from the trip. We had just spent the day taking a train ride through the Yukon near Skagway, Alaska. After dinner, we headed up to the top deck to watch the sunset as the ship left port. I didn’t have my camera on me, but luckily I had my phone charged and ready. The views in Alaska are unmatched. I have never been to a more beautiful place in all of my life. If you haven’t been, I definitely recommend going.
