Walk in the Park

I enjoy taking walks outside. From walking around the neighborhood to hiking along a trail. Most people think this comes from getting older. Actually, I have always enjoyed walking around outside. I have been doing it more because I am trying to take better care of myself. One of the most enjoyable ways for me to take care of myself is by walking around my neighborhood. While I am out walking I usually bring my camera with me. You never know what you are going to see around the neighborhood, and I like to keep practicing. The more I practice the more I am ready for my next big trip.

One of my favorite places to walk in Charlotte, North Carolina is Freedom Park. Freedom Park is one of the largest parks in Charlotte. My favorite park the lake in the middle of the park. It’s a great place to walk. I try to go around as many laps as I can, but one usually does it for me. I haven’t been there in a while because I have enjoyed walking around my neighborhood lately. I found these photos while looking on my hard drive the other day. Here are some favorites that I captured on a beautiful day back in March of 2023.
