“Life is an adventure in forgiveness.” – Norman Cousins

I remember at the beginning of this year it felt like it rained every single weekend. To me it seemed like every time I wanted to get outside and enjoy the rain, the weather would tell me otherwise. At first, I thought I was exaggerating when I thought this, but the local weather station confirmed my beliefs. In April, they did a report about how often it had rained from January to March. They said it rained just about every weekend, with the exception of maybe two. I learned last winter, take advantage of those days with good weather because it might not cooperate.

Last Sunday, I took advantage of the good weather. The football game I wanted to watch didn’t come on until later that afternoon, and I had some time between getting back from church and then so I decided to take a quick bike ride up to Uptown Charlotte. I didn’t take a long ride, but I did spend some time in Marshall Park taking photos because it was such a beautiful day.

Great reminder to appreciate the present moment.
