“The silence in the morning holds lots of expectations and is more hopeful than the silence at night.” — Victoria Durnak

Looking back on last year, I took a lot of photos. I bring my camera with me whenever I think I will have an opportunity to capture something. From riding my bike around Charlotte to some of the different places I have visited around the world this year. I keep my batteries charged. I empty my memory card. By doing this, I can be ready to go at any time. I love taking photos of everything I see because it is my way or remembering the experience better. Often, I look back at past photos. They help me relive the experiences I had at that time.

Last January, I was riding my bike on the Little Sugar Creek Greenway in Uptown Charlotte. I had just finished taking a few photos of the stream. I was starting to make my way back home when I stumbled on this tree blooming. We had a warm January last year so many of the trees in Charlotte had already started to bloom. When I stumbled upon this, I hopped off my bike right away, and started taking photos of it.
In the comments let me know why you like to look at old photos.

Pretty! 🩷 Happy New Years to you!
