Good Views and Good Times

If you asked me to choose between the beach and mountains, I would quickly say the mountains. I love the views, the cooler weather, and plenty of great places to hike and explore. Don’t get me wrong, I have enjoyed a good trip to the beach, in fact I’m going to the beach at least two more times this year. However, if I had to choose, then I’m heading to the mountains. From peaceful streams to mighty waterfalls, I can see them again and again and still be in awe of them.

Last fall, my son and I took a trip up to Curtis Creek near Old Fort, North Carolina. Curtis Creek is a great way to see some amazing mountain views right from your car. We stopped at several points along the way, and then took the road all the way to the Blue Ridge Parkway.
